Pre fabricated Manufactured homes are built inside the factory, once completed, they need to be brought to the site where the house needs to be built. After completion sections of the house are wrapped in plastic and brought to the site thru freeways. Special permission is required from highway patrol and sometimes if the load is wider than 15 feet, highway patrol escorts the load.

Single wide is up to 15 feet wide, Double wide would be up to 30 feet wide, and triple wide would max out to 45 feet wide total. These are the most common sizes, although some double story houses are built in 5 sections.

The width of the section of house should be less than 15 feet in most cases, therefore, a 20 feet wide home would be built in two sections of 10 feet each, a 30 feet wide home is built in two sections 15 feet wide each. If the home being built is more than 30 feet wide, then it is built in three sections, therefore would be called and advertised as triple wide.
